India has launched an investigation into some aluminium wire products from Malaysia.

According to an article in India's Economic Times dated April 28, on April 27, the Indian government initiated an investigation into some aluminum wire products imported from Malaysia. The current anti-subsidy tax on aluminum wire products in India is set to expire in September this year. Several enterprises including Indian Aluminium Limited, Vedanta Limited and Bharat Aluminium Company have submitted applications to the Indian government, requesting a review of the aluminum wire products imported from Malaysia. The Indian government will determine whether to extend the tariff period based on the investigation results.
