Metlen plans to invest nearly 25 million euros to enhance the capacity of recycled aluminum production.

According to foreign media reports, Metlen intends to invest nearly 25 million euros to introduce automated sorting, processing and smelting equipment, expanding the production capacity of its EPALME recycled aluminum factory in Greece. At the same time, it will enable the factory to handle more complex waste materials, including post-consumer aluminum recovered from scrapped products.
EPALME will be responsible for collecting, sorting and pre-processing the aluminum waste, while the Greek aluminum factory under Metlen will scale up the conversion of recycled aluminum into high-value-added products.
After the project is fully completed, it is expected to increase the total output to over 250,000 tons.
