Pakistan initiates anti-dumping investigation into Chinese composite aluminum foil

On July 22, 2026, the Pakistan National Tariff Commission issued a notice (case number ADC76) stating that in response to an application submitted by the Pakistani manufacturer Zenith Packages Industries (Pvt.) Ltd. on June 30, 2026, an anti-dumping investigation was initiated on the composite aluminum foil (including cold-formed foil and tropical foil) [Alu Alu Foil (Cold Forming Foil & Tropical Foil)] originating from or imported from China. The investigation period for dumping was from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026, and the investigation period for damage was from April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2026. The Pakistani tariff codes for the involved products are 7607.1990 and 7607.2000. The preliminary ruling is expected to be made within 60 to 180 days from the date of filing. The notice takes effect from the date of issuance.
The stakeholders should complete the registration for defense within 10 days after the announcement is released, and submit the evidence materials within 45 days.
