Total investment of 328 million yuan! Yuefeng New Materials has won the first green electricity direct connection project in Jiangsu Province

Recently, the 72MW green electricity direct connection project implemented by Yuefeng New Materials Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd. was officially approved, becoming the first green electricity direct connection project to be implemented in Jiangsu Province.
The total investment of the project is 328 million yuan. It adopts the "power source point - factory load" point-to-point mode, and is equipped with approximately 30MW/75MWh energy storage system. After completion, the annual power generation will be approximately 80 million kilowatt-hours, equivalent to reducing carbon emissions by over 10,000 tons per year. Based on the current EU carbon price level, it can save over 1 million euros in carbon tariffs annually, significantly enhancing its international competitiveness.
After the project is put into operation, the annual electricity cost of the enterprise is expected to be reduced by approximately 10%. At the same time, the "carbon tariff reduction" brought by green electricity - as the EU's carbon border adjustment mechanism (CBAM) officially enters the transition period - poses a severe challenge to the export of aluminum products.
