Recently, two scientific and technological achievements developed by Yuefeng Aluminum Industry Company have successfully passed the evaluation organized by the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association. The research and application of "Intelligent Shell Breaking and Material Feeding Control Technology for Aluminum Electrolytic Cells" and "Research and Application of Key Technologies for Improving Energy Quality in Aluminum Electrolysis" were respectively rated as "internationally leading" and "internationally advanced" in overall technology, marking a major breakthrough for the enterprise in the field of intelligent aluminum electrolysis and energy conservation and consumption reduction.
The research and application of "Intelligent Shell-Breaking and Feeding Control Technology for Aluminum Electrolytic Cells" aims to address the long-standing industry common problems such as "encapsulation, jamming and blockage" in electrolytic cells. A dedicated equipment control system combining micro pressure sensors and intelligent algorithms has been developed to achieve non-contact jamming identification and real-time processing, significantly enhancing the uniformity and control accuracy of alumina concentration in electrolytic cells. This technology has been successfully promoted and applied in over thirty electrolysis series, effectively enhancing the capabilities of automatic control and online regulation. It can extend the service life of cylinders and shell-breaking heads by 30%, reduce labor intensity by 30%, increase current efficiency by 0.3%, and lower power consumption per ton of aluminum by 40 kilowatt-hours. The comprehensive technical indicators have been rated as "internationally leading".
Another achievement, "Research and Application of Key Technologies for Energy and Quality Improvement in Aluminum Electrolysis", focuses on the investment and energy consumption bottlenecks in the upgrading and transformation of electrolytic aluminum enterprises. It builds a comprehensive energy and quality improvement technology system covering the entire process of aluminum electrolysis, breaking through the traditional model that is limited to energy conservation within the cell itself and significantly reducing unit electricity consumption. This achievement is generally applicable to both new and old electrolysis series. It has reached the "international leading" level in the "multi-objective investment decision-making model for electrolytic aluminum Production lines", and the overall technology is at the "international advanced" level.
