Yuefeng Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd. has successfully obtained the certification of the Aluminum Industry Management Initiative (ASI) Performance Standards V3.1 (2023). This certification covers the manufacturing of aluminum alloy building profiles and general industrial extruded profiles at its production base in Jiangsu Province, China, as well as the related business activities involved in the production of doors, windows and curtain wall components.
On January 13th, the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) announced that Yuefeng Aluminium Co., Ltd. has been certified to the ASI Performance Standard V3.1 (2023). The company has an annual production capacity of over 200,000 tons. Its production processes include smelting and casting, extrusion, anodizing coloring, electro-polishing, electro-coating, fluorocarbon spraying, powder spraying, heat insulation treatment, as well as deep processing and fine processing. The company produces various types of building profiles, curtain wall profiles, industrial profiles, and special aluminium profiles, and also has supporting R&D facilities, mold manufacturing, and inspection facilities.
The ASI certification program was developed through a broad consultation process involving multiple stakeholders and is the only comprehensive voluntary sustainable development standard initiative in the aluminum value chain. After a revision process over several years, the ASI Performance Standard V3 (2022) was launched in May 2022. Under the three pillars of environment, society, and governance, 11 principles and 62 criteria were defined, aiming to address urgent sustainable development issues in the aluminum value chain, such as biodiversity, indigenous rights, circularity, and greenhouse gas emissions. In 2023, the relevant standard documents were updated with minor improvements to become the Performance Standard V3.1 (2023) and the Regulatory Chain Standard V2.1 (2023), mainly involving text editing, error correction, and content clarification.
The independent third-party audit of Yuefeng Aluminium Industry Co., Ltd. was conducted by Fangyuan Logo Certification Group. The 5th page of the summary audit report provides a complete list of the audit results, outlining the evidence for compliance and minor non-compliance items. This audit recorded 3 minor non-compliance items, including: Clause 1.1 Legal Compliance, 6.1a–f Air Emissions, and 6.5a–c Waste Management and Reporting. Yuefeng Aluminium Industry Co., Ltd. will implement corrective measures and will have these verified in subsequent audits.
