Yuefeng Aluminum Industry Successfully Completes Pilot Production of Oil-Gas Sliding Mold

Recently, the Φ381 oil-gas sliding mold of Yuefeng Aluminum Industry successfully completed its pilot production. The first batch of aluminum rods was successfully rolled off the production line, and all quality indicators passed the inspection. The pilot production was a complete success, marking a further improvement in the company's production capacity of high-end aluminum rods.
Oil-gas sliding casting is the core process of high-end aluminum rods, with significant advantages over ordinary hot top technology. The surface roughness of the aluminum rods produced in this pilot production was effectively reduced to below 3.5 μm, a 50% decrease; the thickness of the segregation layer was reduced to 80 μm, a 73% decrease; the proportion of equiaxed crystals increased by 25%, and the production efficiency increased by 8%. The defects such as cold spots, cold segregation, and cracks on the aluminum rods were basically eliminated, and the surface finish and internal structure uniformity were significantly improved, meeting the high-end customer demands in the fields of new energy and precision equipment.
