According to the latest data from the General Administration of Customs, in August 2026, China exported 630,000 tons of unprocessed aluminum and aluminum products, up by 17.3% compared to the previous year; the cumulative export for the first eight months was 4.66 million tons, up by 16.7% year-on-year.
In August, China exported 430,000 tons of alumina, up by 135.8% year-on-year; the cumulative export for the first eight months was 2.34 million tons, up by 33.5% year-on-year.
In August, China imported 290,000 tons of unprocessed aluminum and aluminum products, down by 10% year-on-year; the cumulative import for the first eight months was 2.44 million tons, down by 8% year-on-year.
In August, China imported 15.45 million tons of raw aluminum ore and its concentrates, down by 15% year-on-year; the cumulative import for the first eight months was 155.25 million tons, up by 10% year-on-year.
