The Eurasian Economic Union continues to impose anti-dumping duties on aluminum strips imported from China.

On May 28, 2026, the Internal Market Protection Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission issued Announcement No. 2026/483/AD28R2, based on the Commission's Resolution No. 62 of May 25, 2026, deciding to extend the validity period of the anti-dumping duties on aluminum strips originating from China and Azerbaijan until May 24, 2031. This resolution will come into effect 30 days after its publication. This case involves products under tax codes 7606 11 910 0, 7606 12 200 3, 7606 12 200 8, 7606 12 920 3 and 7606 12 920 8 of the Eurasian Economic Union.
On May 7, 2019, the Eurasian Economic Commission initiated an anti-dumping investigation into aluminum strips originating from China and Azerbaijan. On September 24, 2020, the Eurasian Economic Commission began to impose a five-year anti-dumping duty on aluminum strips from China and Azerbaijan (refer to Document No. 115 of 2020). Among them, the anti-dumping duty for Chinese producers Nantong Hengjin Composite Material Co., Ltd. and other Chinese producers was 13.14%. The measures came into effect on October 24, 2020, and will remain in effect until October 23, 2025. On June 30, 2025, the Eurasian Economic Commission initiated the first sunset review investigation on aluminum strips from China and Azerbaijan. On April 2, 2026, the Eurasian Economic Commission released the final disclosure of the first sunset review of the anti-dumping measures on aluminum strips from China and Azerbaijan. It recommended maintaining the anti-dumping duty determined in Document No. 115 of 2020 unchanged and continuing to impose a five-year anti-dumping duty on the involved products. The duty rate for Chinese involved products was 13.14% and for Azerbaijan was 16.18%.
